Gadget Of The Week: We Debut With Class...Touch Me!

How better to debut Homotron than with a gadget you can't resist fingering? 16 or 8GB of touchable music, videos and pictures joins a quasi-functional portable internet device to bring the world the iPod Touch... while some complain (rightly) of the iPod Touch's networking and software shortcomings as compared to the nigh-indistinguishable iPhone, it's hard to deny the universal appeal of a device that brings the Coverflow interface as well as full-screen video to the iPod and its famous usability.
Turn it, flip it, tap it, pinch it - you can do just about anything to the iPod Touch but watch NBC's new season of programming.
That said, the dearth of office applications and extremely pared-down software seem punishingly Spartan - perhaps the release of the iPhone/Touch SDK will bring some variety to this luminary of the gadget world.

If it ain't broke... cease production. Right?
mmmmm I <3 fingering my iPhone.
^.^
I lurrrrve my iPod touch. Jailbroken it doesn't seem to work so well though; the music seems to randomly just die; especially in the couple of seconds after either pressing the top button, or skipping through songs, or going into another app while music is playing :/. It's getting to be very frustrating, but the Mail etc apps alone are worth the extra hassle.... I guess...
