Guitar Hero III Les Paul Neck Fix

wii_les_paul_ghiii_controller.jpg

I haven't gotten my cybernetically enhanced mitts around the new Les Paul Guitar Hero III wireless controller yet, but word on the tubes is that the new removable neck is causing problems with malfunctioning frets.

Luckily sicknasty413 at xbox-scene has posted a fix for all those (like me) who aren't afraid to do a little tinkering with your gadgets. All you will need is your Les Paul model GHII controller, and a T8 torx screwdriver (every tinkerer should have their own torx set!)

Keep in mind this might void your guitar's warranty, but then it's better than having malfunctioning frets when you're trying to rip through your next rock masterpiece. I hope Red Octane addresses this issue themselves soon, otherwise I might hold up my own purchase of GHIII.
