iPhone Software v1.1.2 Is Out!

As predicted, iPhone software update v1.1.2 is out today, bringing with it some new features. I've installed the update on my own personal iPhone and dug around to see what's new:
- International Keyboard Support! (Only for British English, French, German, and Italian. Still no messaging with my Mixi friends on my iPhone, unfortunately.) They've also added € (Euro), £ (British Pound), and ¥ (Japanese Yen) keys to the standard keyboard.
- "Asian Font" setting between Japanese/Chinese. (I thought this was automatically determined by the character encoding, and I've always been able to read my Japanese sites on my iPhone, so what does this actually do?)
- New "Region Format" settings for dates, time, and phone numbers.
- The previously mentioned TIFF exploit is now patched.
- The above also means current jailbreaking methods, including the easy website way, are once again not working.
- Ringtones are now separated between standard and custom ringtones. (iToner still works!)
- (New?) Battery level indicator on the iTunes device list.
- The usual round of stability updates.
Otherwise no other obvious new features nor updates, from what I can tell (sorry folks, no disk drive use and no voice recorder.) I haven't been able to test out if my issue where the battery level indicator gets stuck at full (requiring a reboot of the phone to display the true battery level) is fixed yet, but I'll update this entry after testing.
Update: My testing shows that the battery level indicator issue has been resolved on my iPhone. If you're encountering this issue post update to v1.1.2, please comment and let us know.
If you value your SIM card freedom and extra installed applications, then you should avoid this update.
If you need French, German, Italian, or British English support (and a polyglot like me definitely needs this!) then this update is for you. I'm guessing we'll have to wait until the iPhone launches in Japan to get Japanese input, much to my dismay.
However, be advised that if you do not update to v1.1.2, your iPhone will still be vulnerable to the TIFF security hole (unless you used the online jailbreak method), where a malicious website can compromise your iPhone by displaying a TIFF image.

3D iPhone glasses. Why?
While I had previously enjoyed the benefits of Installer and all the fun things that it brought, I'm still hoping that Apple's third party software distribution plan proves successful and have updated to 1.1.2.meh.
