Mac OS X Tops In Japanese OS Marketshare For October

It's no secret around the castle that Jesse James and I fall under opposite sides of a line drawn in the castle's sand/rock garden (and a beautiful garden it is!) We've battled a few times, with me wielding my Longsword of Apple's Might (tastefully designed by Johnathan Ive himself, of course) and Jesse James wielding his Greataxe of Gates's Fury. So far, the matches have resulted in draws, entertainment for the other castle occupants, and a great excuse to join Lectric Lich in some LARP action afterwards (if I'm going to wield a longsword, I might as well role play!)
However, the news coming out of Japan will certainly provide me with ammunition the next time Jesse James and I square off regarding our respective OS camps (in between relaxing spa sessions, where Jesse James and I get along famously!): Mac OS X beat out Microsoft Windows sales for the month of October in Japan with a 53.9% chunk of the total OS marketshare. That's a majority of sales for all OS's sold!
This comes on top of a rise in Mac sales year-over-year from the 15.5% of past years to a whopping 60.5% this year in the notoriously difficult computer market of Japan (which has shown a strong decline in recent years) and the news that Leopard, the newest version of Mac OS X released last month, sold over 2 million copies in its first weekend alone.
I'm sure Steve Jobs and company are celebrating the news.
In the interest of full disclosure, I do own Apple stock, so this news makes my own wallet happy as well.

3D iPhone glasses. Why?
Even further proof that the Japanese are, in deed, insane ;)
While no one doubts that, Macs still rule. :P
