Video: Ghost In The Shell Tachikoma Robot Due In February

If you're a Ghost in the Shell fan like me, you'll squeal with delight upon seeing this little beauty: a programmable USB Tachikoma robot!

It'd be awesome to have one of these cute little death machines on my desk. It even makes the wonderful little Tachikoma sounds!

The robots will be available starting February 2008 at the cool price of $199.

Unfortunately the USB Tachikoma just launched is not the one in above video clip. The $199 is alleged (I have not seen any detailed review on it yet but from some clip on its launch premier...) to be just like a simple action figure, with speakers to 'speak' and 'sing'. The video clip above features the one-off prototype made by Tomotaka Takahashi of Robo-Garage, produced for promotional purpose only. I would love to have a lovely gadget like such on my desk, but not a Tachikoma-like speaker...

And girls who like girls who like fembots!
