Apple Releases 31 Security Updates

A series of new patches and updates was released yesterday for Mac's Tiger and Leopard Operating Systems. 31 fixes were released yesterday, all security-related. These most likely were auto-pushed to you if you happen to own a Mac, but if not, you can find the patches here.
31 is a lot of patches for a one shot deal, but I think it's a real good idea for Apple to start considering security issues and vulnerability issues more closely. There seems to be a sense of security within the Mac community, but I am of the belief that as the popularity of the OS rises, the attacks will rise as well. So good on Apple for making a such a sweeping update. Let's just hope that we don't have to see too many of these large issue patches in the future.

*sigh* The 31 number is typical for Mac OS X patches, Jesse.
Apple is very proactive about security issues and have been for a long time. They tend to fix little things that even security experts say might never be exploited feasibly.
It's not out of the ordinary for a regular security fix to address this volume of issues.
They've always been paranoid with Mac OS X, hence the comprehensive security updates. You can look through Apple's own security patch notes for the past few years to see how proactive they are.
