HD Format War Update: Sales Through 11/25/2007

This week's sales charts are crucial due to the inclusion of the all important Black Friday Weekend sales (of doom! - sorry, it always feels like it needs that at the end.) That means these charts include the biggest holiday shopping day and could set the tone for the next few months.
It does not look good for the HD-DVD camp.
The Blu-ray camp made a 6% jump during Thanksgiving Week to beat HD-DVD down to only 28% of sales. This 72% sales dominance was even further reflected in the return of the top HD disc best sellers chart, with Blu-ray claming 8 out of the 10 slots:
- Live Free Or Die Hard (Blu-ray)
- Open Season (Blu-ray)
- Spiderman 3 (Blu-ray)
- Ratatouille (Blu-ray)
- Shrek the Third (HD-DVD)
- Transformers (HD-DVD)
- Hairspray (Blu-ray)
- Ocean's Thirteen (Blu-ray)
- The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (Blu-ray)
- 300 (Blu-ray)
This is official confirmation that even $99 players haven't helped the HD-DVD camp make gains.
Blu-ray fans: rejoice. The holiday season looks bright.
