Presidential Candidates' Fav. Gadgets: Still Boring

When it comes to Presidential Politics, everything is fair game. Even the tiniest bit of minutia concerning candidates is analyzed by the press and fed to the public for consumption, hopefully with as little prejudice as possible. Every detail is then dissected by the masses as some sort of indication to the candidate’s ability to run this country. Why, even the decision to not why a specific lapel pin can get you lambasted as the child of Satan himself!
The newest piece of information put to our disposal is aimed directly at us, the tech crowd. The Associated Press asked the candidates what their favorite gadget was, and their responses were less than exciting. According to the article, the Democrats all responded with saying either an iPod or Blackberry, with Bill Richardson joking about his "Crackberry" (did he steal that line from Obama?). Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson towed the line with the iPod/Blackberry response. Mike Huckabee surprised everyone by saying his bass guitar (which for some reason can only play Christian Praise music). John McCain mentioned his Razr, in an attempt to look cool about 3 years ago. Finally, Rudy Giuliani came in with the wondrous cd player, showing not only his old fashioned sensibilities, but also further cementing the fact that 9/11 really was the last day in his calendar.
What we're supposed to do with this data is anyone's guess. I wonder if the Democrats all store the data for their "universal" health care plans on their iPods? Maybe we're suppose to infer that Giuliani really is that far out of touch with modern life, or that Mike Huckabee really is scared of the lime-light because he plays bass and not lead guitar? Whatever the reasoning, the information is now available. Do with it what you will.
