iRing: For The Unnaturally Dedicated

Apple Ring.jpg

I have now realized that a diamond ring just won't be enough when I decide to pop the "big question" to my Mac-loving Boyfriend. After he sees this, I'm afraid anything less just wouldn't do.

This conceptual design by Victor Soto, tentatively called the iRing, is the perfect symbol of love, both for all things Apple and the eternal bond two people can share (at least, that's what I've been told it will symbolize). The ring interacts with your iPhone via Bluetooth to control the volume and track selection through a sleek touch interface built directly into the ring!

As this is simply a concept (right now, at least... I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see this go into production, too many people would buy it instantaneously), there is no real price tag available. On top of that, the functionality is a bit questionable as only the iPhone is Bluetooth equipped and the drivers for this would have to be manually created (hello SDK?).

The biggest problem I see with this is the endless nagging and ribbing one would receive for wearing this thing. I have no problem accepting that people enjoy their Apple products... but this would just be too far. Although, black is the new It color right now, so this could make a good accessory as well...

Oh Wow - the only thing that could make this even better is if it was picked up by Tiffany's for their new Spring line!

And girls who like girls who like fembots!
