CES 2008: MyVu Brings Media To Your Face

Not too long ago, I said I was going to pick up a pair of YelloMosquito's Qingbar GP300. I lied. After thinking long and hard about it (or was that what I was thinking about...), I decided that $300 just wasn't worth it. So I gave up on my sunglass-style PMP dreams and cried myself to sleep..
I was all depressed for awhile, moping about as I clung to my iPod Video on the train, straining my eyes to just to watch some Battlestar Gallactica. But then, as if they heard my cries, MyVu came along and released a new version of their Personal Media Viewer, the Crystal Edition! I couldn't believe my eyes, the design was sleek and the always fashionable amber tint of the "glasses" could go with just about everything in my wardrobe (Den Den keeps telling me I need to go shopping, but I don't understand why). I was elated!
The new Crystal Edition does just about everything my Qingbar GP300 did, but with a few slight tweaks and differences. Whereas the Qingbar supports Mini SD so you can load your media directly to it, the MyVu hooks up directly to your iPod or other pmp. Also, there's a 35% increase in viewing area over previous versions of the MyVu. Finally, the lenses are transparent, leaving some practical, non-media functionality intact.
This should be out in the Spring of this year, with a rumored price tag of around $100.

If it ain't broke... cease production. Right?
