QTrax Beta Drops, But No Music?

Well, here goes another shot at disappointment. Last night I patiently waiting for the QTrax beta to go live, as I reported on yesterday morning. The program is suppose to be a free P2P network blessed by the Holy Quadruplet of the Big 4 record labels. We were promised great music for free, with the small caveat of advertising while you browse and download music. Instead, we've been delivered a badly repackaged version of the Songbird web browser with pop-up messages stating that downloads are coming soon.
Now, I'm not completely sure how this happens, but how do you take a beta-level browser that works fairly well for it's purposes and make it worse?
I'll keep you updated on this. Maybe they were overloaded with downloads (not likely), but I wasn't even able to create an account. There has even been some speculation that the developers have yet to sign deals with the Big 4 record labels! Is this an elaborate hoax, a badly planned launch, or just a poorly developed product? We'll have to wait and see at this point.
