Video: Lego Millennium Falcon Assembly - Geektastic!

In case you missed it, yesterday was the 50th anniversary of LEGO (some observant Googlers may have noticed Google's logo in LEGO yesterday to commemorate the event.)

In celebration of that event, I bring you Joel Johnson of Boing Boing Gadget's time lapse video of his assembly of the Ultimate Collector's Edition Millennium Falcon LEGO set (WANT!):

Star Wars + LEGO = geeky bliss.

That video brought me back to the days where I would make all kinds of vehicles and buildings with my boxes of LEGO pieces. Looking at the prices of LEGO sets now and realising how expensive they are I can only be thankful that my parents somehow pulled the money together to buy me so many of them to satisfy my geeky impulses.

Those boxes of LEGO pieces are still sitting in the closet of my bedroom at my parent's house, and I hope some day I'll be able to reclaim them when I have a home of my own. I miss letting my imagination guide my hands in the construction of new creations.
