Whiskey A-Go-Go For The Educated 'Mo

Nothing reminds me of college more that seeing a photo of a drunk guy passed out on a couch cuddling with a bottle of Whiskey. Of course, that guy was never me (at least, there are no pictures to suggest otherwise), but still brings back memories nonetheless.
Spending many years of my high school and college life in Kentucky, I became a bit enamored with the idea of Bourbon. I like Jim Beam well enough, but me and Maker's Mark are very fond of each other. After many years of drinking good ol' Kentucky Bourbon, I can usually spot the difference between my Bourbons and imposter Whiskey's. I know, most people think I'm insane, but there's just something different about the Jack Daniel's of the world that make regular Whiskey, well, just not as good.
When I tell people that, however, they insist that there is no difference between Bourbon and other Whiskey's, that's it's simply a geographic name. I could only really argue the point so far though, as I was not completely knowledgeable on the makings of various Whiskeys. Now, however, with the help of Whiskipedia, I can point them to this great articles on Bourbon as definitive proof that not only shows that Bourbon is made differently, it is a governmentally defined spirit!.
Whiskipedia launched yesterday is an attempt to educate the mass populace about all things Whiskey. By far my personal favorite form of hard liquor, I'm sure to spend a few hours learning all about what makes this wonderful alcohol so great! Sadly, it's only limited to Whiskey, but hopefully we'll see more sites like this to come. If you know of any other good alcohol wiki's, let us know in the comments!

I don't know of any other alcoholic wikis but I can suggest mixing Makers with American Honey. (Its made by Wild Turkey but you can't really hold that against it.) It basically makes a cheap Rusty Nail that my friends and I have dubbed Tetanus.
Whew! I thought I was the only gay who liked whiskey:)
Thanks for the resource!
@StFrancisFolly:
Lies! I like whiskey too! I prefer my shots of JD straight up, no rocks - just pure unadulterated whiskey. Always good for a comment or two when I down a shot like that.
