Leopard 10.5.2 Update Released!
Apple has released the long awaited 10.5.2 update to Leopard!
For those of you that absolutely hate the new transparent menu look, rejoice! 10.5.2 adds the ability to make the menu opaque like in Tiger.
Options have also been added to the Dock to add different view options for Stacks and bring a new background to the grid view for better visibility.
Along with UI improvements, the 10.5.2 update also brings along the usual security and miscellaneous fixes, including, but not limited to:
- Airport: Improves connection reliability and stability
- Finder: Addresses an issue in which Finder could unexpectedly quit when displaying folder contents in Column view.
- Finder: Resolves an issue in which the Eject command could write to a disc in the optical drive.
- System: Improves the accuracy of the grammar checker. (yay!)
- Time Machine: Adds a menu bar option for accessing Time Machine features (the menu extra can be enabled in Time Machine preferences).
- Addresses issues in which some external drives are not recognized by Time Machine. (Side note: Time Machine seems to still not work with non-Time Capsule network drives - lame.)
Hit Software Update to install the update.
