Starbucks Ditches T-Mobile For AT&T

Completing a satanic pact that's been all but real for ages, Starbucks today announced that it would be switching from T-Mobile to AT&T as the provider for its in-house Wi-Fi, and that it would offer free Wi-Fi to AT&T subscribers as well as two free hours of Wi-Fi to anyone who makes a Starbucks purchase.
Anyone who subscribes to AT&T's DSL or U-verse Internet services will qualify for hotspot access, with cellphone customers getting the option in the near future. Anyone with a Starbucks Card will get two free hours of Wi-Fi use per day as well.
If you fit none of these categories, you'll still be able to cough up $4 for two hours or $20 for a whole month of Starbucks internet plus AT&T's 70,000ish hotspots. The Apple Wi-Fi deal proceeds apace. Guard yourselves.
