T-Mobile Gets 3G At Last

T-Mobile will have its much-delayed 3G broadband network in time to work on its summer tan lines, according to CEO Hamid Akhavan. At the moment T-Mobile is the only carrier in the US without a 3G, high speed data network - which isn't pretty and will only get uglier as the iPhone moves into 3G territory.
The holdup according to Akhavan has been the spectrum as well as government approval issues - none of which matters to the consumer but must frustrate things behind the scenes. T-Mobile claims that when its 3G network debuts it will offer the best connections in the country, a claim that had better be true by the time T-Mobile launches its first Android device later this year.
