Yahoo! Wants You To Take It All

yahoo_logo.jpg

Even in the midst of the proposed buyout of Yahoo by Microsoft (and all the pros and cons of such a deal), it seems that business is as usual over at the Yahoo offices, with Yahoo making a new service announcement today.

Yahoo! will now be offering "unlimited" web hosting as part of its web hosting services for small businesses. For $11.95 a month, Yahoo! will give you:

  • Unlimited disk space
  • Unlimited data transfer
  • Unlimited email storage
  • 1,000 email accounts

For the money, you also get some strong web design tools, a domain name and will help to optimize your site and submit it to top search engines. If you're looking to start up your own site, it may not be a bad option, although I'd be a little leary of jumping on board with Yahoo! until all the buyout hullabaloo is over.

You know, that's an incredibly smart business move. If they want to be bought out, one of the major things you do is to increase your value. An influx of new customers would look very good to a company wanting to buy out yahoo.
