Asus Unveils Lamborghini World Phone

I'm not sure if this idea of Branded cell phones is working, if it's just the new It thing to do, but we've seen tons of them lately, and today we received a glimpse at another: the Asus Lamborghini Phone.
Aside from the branding, the phone is purported to run a modified version of Windows Mobile 6.1. From everything I've heard about the Eee PC's OS, I've got to hold out hope that if anyone can tweak an OS and make it better, Asus can. Ready for the real kicker? Asus reps are claiming that it runs "just like the iPhone." Not better, not similar but different, but just like. Which makes me cry on the inside. New cell phones are suppose to be about innovation, not repackaged, branded imitations!
In any case, we should be seeing this world phone hit the European market later this year with a wonderfully affordable price tag somewhere around $1,500. If the phone operates "just like the iPhone," then why wouldn't you just pay less money and get an iPhone? Kthx, Asus, I'll just take an actual Lamborghini instead.

One way or another, Microsoft will try to sell you a phone.
