Circuit City Offering HD-DVD Trade-In Deal

It seems that goodwill customer service is not just exclusive to Japanese retailers, as it's come to the US as well: Circuit City is now extending a trade-in offer to HD-DVD customers that were burned by the end of the HD Format War.
If you purchased an HD-DVD player within 90 days, Circuit City is letting you trade-in the player for either a gift card to use in store, or to apply the full price towards a new Blu-ray player of your choice (including PS3s!)
This offer is valid on players only - you'll have to sell your HD-DVD coasters yourself.
Apparently, this deal isn't very public, but it is corporate policy - you just have to ask for it at the customer service counter.
I would have never thought a US retailer would do something like this. Nice job, Circuit City.

One way or another, Microsoft will try to sell you a phone.
Unfortunately not many of the employees actually know about it. I called earlier today to ask about it and I swear the person thought I was an idiot for asking about something like this in the first place. I wonder who actually knows about it in every store.
I hope Universal sets up a trade-in deal once they start releasing on the “One True Format.” I'd really like to get Heroes Season 1 on a disc that actually looks good without spending $100. Universal is mainly responsible for HD DVD being around as long as it was. Paramount and Warner are off the hook, though.
@Andy;
I seriously doubt the movie studios will implement a disc trade-in programme. Don't hold your breath.
