Holy Sexy Military Technology Batman, It's A Bat Plane!
Even if the concept seems a bit odd, you have to admit this thing looks hella cool! The Bat Plane is a $10 Million initiative being spear-headed by the University of Michigan and funded by the US Military. The UMV (UnManned Vehicle) will be a small 6-inches, and is designed to be used in urban areas.
According to CNet, the Bat Plane will feature:
"...tiny cameras for stereo vision, directional microphones, and devices that detect nuclear radiation and poisonous gas."
It will also have solar panels built in to extend the life of the machine, and the sexy bat design will help disguise the gadget in combat zones. And just like a real bat, the plane will use radar and sonar to navigate without crashing into things.
Can I just say: me wants?
