Homotron Week In Review: Week Ending 03/01/2008

So Tiny Dancer informed me during the recording of our podcast this Sunday (we're working on getting it to you as soon as we can!) that the power outage that stopped me from writing for you folks on Tuesday was all due to one technician's foolishness.
I will now have to install my own solar panels and get myself a fuel cell generator in order to satisfy my energy needs for next time this happens (we're very environmentally friendly here at Homotron.)
However, all's well and I've had constant power for almost 6 days now, so I will rejoice by bringing you the Week In Review!
On to the linkage:
- Microsoft cuts prices on Vista! (sort of.)
- TiVo's ending their customer rewards programme. Did you hear that? That was the sound of us TiVo evangelisers all crying out at once.
- Have a The Sharper Image gift card? Want to get yourself a chair massager? You're out of luck.
- Mozilla wants to add a little more flame to your pants.
- The most awesome (and expensive) keyboard ever is captured on video!
- Google shows off the latest in Android tech by letting you use
Voyeur ViewStreet View on the go. Oh, and it plays Quake. - Can you never find someone to massage your breasts? Robots are here to help you!
- If you're insecure and paranoid, you now have a new tool to feed your neurosis. Have fun!
- iPhone firmware v1.1.4 is released, but sadly it brings nothing new to the party. Maybe we'll have better luck next week. Oh, want a free iPhone? Go to college (with Jesus.)
- Check your nearest pig for wings, folks - Verizon kept their word about opening their network. I know, I'm surprised too.
- Apple releases new MacBooks and MacBook Pros - the Pros now include iPhone multi-touch technology for your groping pleasure.
- Stage6 shuts down suddenly, will other video sites follow?
- A tragedy happened this week in the gay tech world with the death of former Microsoft employee Ric Weiland, but some bright news came about with his gift of $65 million to GLBT charities and organisations. Thank you, Ric.
