New BlackBerry 9000

BlackBerry users delight - RIM's new BlackBerry 9000 has been seen in the field, and it's taking a big tip from the iPhone in terms of design: the keyboard remains, of course, as does the "pearl," (which always reminds me of lady parts, eww!) but the silver rim and sleek profile scream "post-iPhone."
The 9000 model also boasts a new, less "cartoonish" interface (pictured), new animations, plus WiFi and HSDPA capabilities. For my money, it's gorgeous, and sticking with the QWERTY + pearl input was a no-brainer - BlackBerry has customers who are used to (and addicted to) an established input protocol. A touch-screen would have been a bit of a stretch for newcomers and a bullet between the eyes as far as existing customers are concerned.
Now: how does it perform, and what else can it do?
