The Sharper Image Gift Card Drama: Update

We've talked about The Sharper Image filing bankruptcy, and as a result of that filing, their refusal to accept gift cards. It seems, however, that the flailing company has had a change of heart in regard to the gift card issue.... sort of.

You see, you can now redeem your gift cards with The Sharper Image (you poor sap, dump your boyfriend right now for buying that for you), but with a few stipulations. First, you must use the entire gift card in one purchase. Second, you have to buy at least double the size of your gift card. So, if you have a $5 gift card, that shouldn't be too difficult to deal with, but if you have a $500 gift card... well, you're in a significantly worse state.

So there you go. If you didn't happen to shred that gift card, and you feel like spending more money than you planned, you can now safely shop at The Sharper Image again. If I were you, though, I wouldn't really bank on any kind of return policy though...
