Watch YouTube In High(er) Res

Apparently YouTube has been testing out higher bitrate video streaming, and while it won't improve sloppy videos or those that were encoded with YouTube's former standard resolution of 320x240, those videos that do look better look a lot better. Compare this video to this higher-res version, for instance.
You can easily do this yourself: force your YouTube videos to show in higher res by appending "&fmt=8" or "&fmt=16" to the video URL. The former sets the resolution to 448x336, while the latter gives you an iPhone-style MP4 version.
Also, there's a Greasemonkey script for Firefox users that will automatically run the better-looking videos. Snatch it here.

If it ain't broke... cease production. Right?
