Whatcha Got There Under Your Clothes...?

All things Sci-Fi eventually become reality, as has been said before. Cell phones, projection images and now true X-Ray vision cameras.
The new T5000 from ThruVision can snap a picture straight through your clothing, revealing any hidden objects and items to the viewer. The camera works by detecting the electromagnetic emanations naturally found in everything, and the trained eye will be able to tell the difference between a set of keys and a knife or see a strapped on bomb before it's able to be used. For those that might be a little shy, or those that might be inclined to see what exactly is hiding in "there," ThruVision ensures that the camera will not be able to see heavy physical detail.
This is an interesting development, and could prove important in the fight against terrorism. But it is a bit creepy to me. The intent is to be used at places like airports and such, and we obviously sacrifice almost all privacy when we fly as it is now, so what's the problem with a little more? What do you think? Is this a step forward in the "endless war," or is this a step forward in the march toward Big Brother?

If it ain't broke... cease production. Right?
Terra-hertz imagining, not x-rays, alot less harmfull, lower penetration depth (
*giggles* wonder why photo is of a lady, dangly bits too rude?
*sighs* i can almost hear the security forces argument for this, if you have nothing to hide then why don't you go through this. Screens will be set up around monitor, though in a limited space at security control i can envisage the monitor for this next to the baggage monitor, in view of the people already violated :/
