Anderson Cooper On My Phone Makes Me Happy

The other day, we brought you news of a lame-as-hell super exciting announcement from AT&T that Sony would be launching a "channel" of sorts for mobile phones. Well, today comes word of another channel for AT&T's service, CNN! That's right, all you news junkies that need your fix of the "best political team on Earth" of 15 minutes can now get it on AT&T's LG Vu or Samsung Access. For $15 a month, you get the new Sony Pix, CNN, MTV, Comedy Central, ESPN, FOX, NBC and Nickelodeon on the go.
This is actually the same MediaFlo service you can get with Verizon, but with the addition of CNN and Sony Pix. Which makes the deal a little better, but not much. I tried the service on Verizon and thought it was nifty, but there are a few problems. For starters, you need to add an antenna to your phone to get it. It's a separate piece that detaches, but still, it's annoying. The picture and sound are decent, and it loads well enough, but the fact that on my bus trip I could get stuck with a 6 minute block of commercials bothered me. Not to mention that I'm paying for a service that then force advertises to me.
But if you tell me I can tune in to Anderson Cooper all day long.... hmmmm, now that is tempting. I'm just afraid that if I tuned in early in the morning and heard Lou Dobbs screaming about them there evil illegals that are going to murder all our cats in their sleep, I would throw my phone. And that would be bad.

If it ain't broke... cease production. Right?
