Shocker! Christian Coalition Wants To Get Rid Of Porn

Hot on the heels of the FCC hearing that no one bothered to show up to came the Senate hearing and briefing session on Net Neutrality today. Almost predictably, the Republican representatives pushed an anti-regulation and pro "market-forces" agenda, while Democrats tried to frame the issue as similar to regulations providing Internet access to schools. To be honest, the majority of the hearing seemed like deja vu, with the exception of the random inclusion of the Christian Coalition.
Why was the Christian Coalition included on one of the panels about Network Neutrality? One can only assume that we needed to know What Would Jesus Do, or that someone had suddenly realized that the entire book of Revelation was about World of Warcraft, or something just as equally reasonable. But while we may never know the real reason the chair of the committee invited the Christian Coalition to speak on Net Neutrality (Word of the day today kids is Pandering), we do know they have, in fact, formulated a well-though-out and extremely intelligent response to the issue: Comcast should simply eliminate two of their Pay Per View pornography channels and use that bandwidth for internet purposes!
What a fantastic idea! And while that does nothing to solve the issue at all, it would be great to eliminate pay per view channels to free up bandwidth so that we can all go illegally download the very same content. Thanks Christian Coalition, and while we really do appreciate your votesopinion, we'd like you to go back to that corner with all the pretty toys and coloring books now.
