Tag Heuer's New $6k Phone
The timepiece folks at Tag Heuer have now become mobile phone folks as well, and by the pics of their new Meridiist phone, they're not kidding around. With your selection of leathers, rubbers, and even crocodile skin, the Meridiist should be fun to hold. The 1.9" QVGA main screen, 2 megapixel camera, MP3/AAC/MPEG-4 playback don't come even close to justifying the price, although a sapphire crystal main screen sounds fancy.
What really gets me is the monochrome OLED digital clock on the Meridiist's angled top rim - make the jump to see why this is one phone you can slap down on my bedstand anytime.
Excess, thy name is "six thousand dollars for a phone that tells time prettily while lying down!"
