The Croc Plague Spreads To Your Cellphone

I really wish this was a leftover April Fool's Day joke, but a glance at the Verizon store confirms this dire news: Croc phone cases, pictured, are very real and available for purchase at Verizon stores.

Verizon has also announced a variety of other designer phone cases including:

"Dooney & Bourke's signature white 'it' fabric, the pink crossword print, the black and white anniversary print, and a fun and flirty plaid"

And a selection Chloe Dao designs that "range from a playful pink 'kiss' to a trendy plaid design, and offer customers a fun and stylish way to carry and protect their mobile devices."

Maybe I'm missing part of my gay gene, or I'm just way too practical and cheap, but I've never understood getting a designer case for a cellphone, specially one inspired by ugly rubber shoes.

To each his own, and if you *are* into designer phone cases, go nuts at the Verizon store.
