Whiny Improv Troupe Interrupts My Current Obsession With R.E.M.

Cleverly monikered improv group, Improv Everywhere, jumbled its collective panties when R.E.M.'s PR firm released a video on YouTube of a bunch of people "freezing" in a public space. Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere's chief mime, complained that the band gave them no credit and presented the video as an original idea (I guess they did some fancy-pants public freeze at Grand Central Station B in the D).
Then a bunch of self-righteous blogger types (yeah I'm lookin' at you, Geek Gestalt) got indignant and called it a "blatant rip-off," as if R.E.M. donned a Hamburgler mask and broke into the Watergate Hotel.
In a sweet, courteous move, the PR firm in question removed the video for re-editing and apologized. Blergh. I wanna see the video now!
Anyhoo, that's enough outta me. If you haven't picked it up yet, I strongly recommend R.E.M.'s latest album, Accelerate. While you're at it, pick up Fables of the Reconstruction and Green. Tell 'em NeonMadman sent ya. And tell Michael Stipe I love him and I want to have his babies.
