AT&T Now Offering iPhone Plans For Deaf/Folks Who Are Differently Abled

Right on the heels of the AT&T free hotspot access announcement for iPhone users comes news that AT&T is now offering a package for deaf and people who are differently abled for the iPhone (I work in Higher Education for the day job, so "people who are differently abled" has been hammered into me.)
The Text Accessibility Plan (TAP) will cost users $40/month and provide them with unlimited text messages, web browsing, data, and "simplified e-mail access" (a custom e-mail client?)
Users looking to use the TAP plan will need to fill out a few forms and submit them to AT&T's National Center for Customers with Disabilities at the link below.
Having had a few friends in my lifetime who are deaf (and the person who I considered my second mother was also hearing impaired), I'm very glad to see these kinds of initiatives on the part of mobile phone providers. Deaf people want to play with cool phones too!

One way or another, Microsoft will try to sell you a phone.
