Have A Shot With Your Robot

There is just nothing like scanning your RSS feeds and finding a horribly disturbing image like this. This is a concept robot from robotics "artist" Christopher Conte titled Lethal Injection Attack Droid Prototype. Looking like something out of a Conker's Bad Fur Day Nightmare On Elm Street scene, I'm not too sure I'd be wanting to invest in this piece of art...

I'm not completely sure what inspired this or what statement the guy is making, but in any respect, it's a bit odd. Me being the optimist would have saw this and immediately thought it was a Red Cross droid here to deliver a life-saving Penicillin shot or some crazy awesome anti-biotic... but that's probably exactly what they want me to think. By the time I realized that the rising robot over-lords, it's too late, and the poison would already have set in.

All I'm saying is beware anything on wheels brandishing a needle, no matter how "cute" or "safe" it might look. It's just safer that way...
