Within one hour of its unboxing, The One became the undisputed ruler of Tiny's entire home. Buy this or despair.
Another excellent podcast. Just a comment about Comcast thinking about setting a monthly cap at 250GB, then charging for extra. That actually seems like a generous amount of data. I use BitMeter to track my download/upload speeds and how much data I'm transferring over my home network. So far the largest month was April when I downloaded 30.3GB and uploaded 71.3GB. Keep in mind that's for the entire home network, not just what I get from the internet.
Also the upload is a bit skewed since my TiVo uses my desktop where I have BitMeter installed as a conduit to download some of the video podcasts that I watch. Also I have a video podcast folder in iTunes set to automatically share with my TiVo.
While it is just me living alone in my apartment, that may make a big difference in internet usage when compared to a family. I don't really like the thought of the providers going back to a system of caps (that's too much like the days of AOL dial-up and only have 20 hours a month), but shouldn't heavy users have to pay for their share of what they use?
Also, thanks for the Evernote invite. I'm still trying to figure out how/if it will be useful for me.
