File Under I Need: HTC Touch Pro!

It wasn't too long ago that HTC unveiled its upcoming HTC Touch Diamond, a super sexy looking touch screen phone running on Windows Mobile 6.1 (also kinda sexy). This phone uses HTC's new TouchFlo tech, which focuses on accomplishing things in just one touch and reducing the amount of "fingering" needed for the touch screen. While it is an awesome sounding phone, sporting things like WiFi, 3.2 MP camera, lots of memory and support for just about any 3G speed, there was one thing that kept it in the "oh... that's nice" box, at least for people like me: a QWERTY keyboard. To me, if I wanted a super cool touch screen phone without a QWERTY keyboard, I'd have an iPhone. But that keyboard is a must for me.

Well, yesterday, HTC let us all know that we won't have to be deprived of our beloved keyboards if we want the juicy goodness that is the Diamond by announcing the HTC Touch Pro! The Pro is everything the Diamond is, super sexiness included, packaged with a slider keyboard. Imagine the sleekness of the iPhone OS, the customization and business orientation of WinMo, and the slide out keyboard or the AT&T Tilt, all wrapped into one, and you might start to picture what I imagine this phone could be.

The Pro and Diamond are scheduled for a European launch in late summer, with the U.S. launch coming this winter. No word on pricing just yet, but I wouldn't expect this bad boy to come cheap.
