Homotron Week In Review: Week Ending 6/14/2008

Wow, it's been a while since we've had a week in review, so let's make this a good one!
On to the linkage!
- The big event last week was Apple's WWDC keynote. We had live coverage, where Apple announced the new iPhone 3G!
- Apple was a little coy on details regarding buying and activating the iPhone 3G, but details have leaked out, prompting some (including myself) to cry foul on the new price. Do you think the new, more expensive data plan is worth it?
- If you do upgrade, find out how to securely wipe your old iPhone before you sell it. Oh, and get Steve Wozniak to unlock it for you (offer only available to Kathy Griffin.)
- Lest you think everything last week was about the iPhone, we also had some crazy results from power drain tests on the current generation of consoles. They guzzle power like nobody's business!
- Wal*mart, for some reason unbeknownst to those of us with logical brains, decides to throw its hat into the online classifieds ring while attempting to keep it family friendly. Hah!
- Oh yeah, Apple did also announce a new service at WWDC: MobileMe - "Exchange for the rest of us."
- We have a new official Homotron Labs vehicle: the Spider Car. Very useful for climbing up the side of our volcano!
- HP tries to make the MacBook Air green with Voodo Envy.
- Metallica proves once again that they (and the people in charge of their PR) are either morons, or pure geniuses. The jury is still out.
- Remember how Borders said they were leaving Amazon? Yeah, it didn't take them very long to come crawling back to the retail giant.
- Coolest. Guitar. Ever.
- Vending machine stress relief. Ah, the beauty of technology.
- Our gadget of the week was (surprise!) the iPhone 3G.
*phew* We promise, we'll try to keep *that phone* to a minimum this week. We practically overdosed last week!

3D iPhone glasses. Why?
