Intel Doesn't Do Vista
Microsoft isn't having a fantastic week. First our own stunningly gorgeous Jesse James reported that developers prefer Windows XP over the massive failure that which is Vista. Now it's been leaked that be-all-end-all computer chip monster Intel has no plans to upgrade their employee's computers from XP to Vista.
Yowza!
Intel and Microsoft go way back. They were buddies from the get-go. So this revelation—reported by the New York Times and handed to me ever so graciously my TimesPeople buddy, Cameron (thanks Cameron!)—has the potential to ruffle a few feathers internally. The Times reports that child-eater Steve Ballmer and Paul Otellini, Intel’s chief executive, get together on a regular basis. So it probably won't come to fisticuffs.
Still, the leaked memo stands as a testament to Vista's failure and the pressure on Microsoft to deliver the goods with Windows 7, set to be released in two years. On a human level, I have to nod sadly alongside Mr. James; I feel sorry for Microsoft. I think Bill Gates is adorable.

3D iPhone glasses. Why?
I can't think of a more just response to M$ and Vista. It's a crap OS that crashes far more frequently on me than XP did. I just wish I could get rid of it (and still keep playing Windows-based games).
@surlyB Can't downgrade to XP? I can't think of many games at all the require DX10, which is the only reason you need to hang on to Vista.
@Jesse James - I wish I could downgrade! Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the motherboard doesn't provide any XP drivers for the SATA controllers (or any that I could find that work, and I've tried). But I hope that I will soon be getting rid of this computer and getting a barebones system with XP Pro x64.
I can suffer for a few more months on Vista and then finally get back to a good OS.
