New Touchscreen Kate Moss-Thin Camera From Benq
This slick new camera from Benq (with an unknown price) sports a width of 0.6" and a 3" LCD touchscreen on the back. You may be wondering what, exactly, a touchscreen is doing on a camera. It's actually pretty neat. Using tappa-tappa-tappa skillz, the user can specify focus points. There's also an iPhone/iTunes "sliding" mechanism for cycling through snapshots. Playing back said snapshots, a user can finger-circle a specific point and zoom in.
It also begs the question: what won't have a touchscreen in the near future? I like fingering things as much as the next fellah, but I also recognize the smudge-tastic nature of dinky digital cameras as I'm shoving my fat face up to the lens. If it's all blurry and greased from my chub, what'll it look like after my Doritos-encrusted fingers are through?
That said, pin-point focus precision is bad ass.
