Best Buy Selling iPhone 3Gs Starting On September 7

The unstoppable iPhone army continues its unwavering worldwide takeover, with Best Buy announcing late last night that they will become the first third party store to sell the iPhone 3G beginning September 7:
"We had a lot of work to do, obviously, to get in a position where Apple and AT&T would feel good about Best Buy Mobile carrying it, and that's what we've done in the last 18 months," said Shawn Score, president of Best Buy Mobile.
This means that prospective iPhone 3G buyers can now add 970 Best Buy locations plus 16 Best Buy Mobile stores to their waiting-in-queue itineraries.
The announcement comes after Best Buy finished a major two year overhaul of its mobile phone departments with new computer systems and employee retraining, paving the way for an expansion of its phone repertoire.
Boy Genius Report insists that Radio Shack will also be selling iPhone 3Gs in the near future, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for an announcement following Best Buy's triumphant press release.

Within one hour of its unboxing, The One became the undisputed ruler of Tiny's entire home. Buy this or despair.
