Delta Offers Gogo Wi-Fi On All Domestic Flights In 2009

Currently, Gogo Inflight Internet has plans to bring wi-fi access to a handful of American Airlines flights between NYC, LA, SF and Miami, and to Virgin America in some form or another.
Now Delta adds its name to the pot and ups the ante by announcing that the service will be present on all of its domestic flights in 2009 - which means upgrading 330 planes with the sky-high wi-fi capability and letting domestic Delta customers browse the internet at speeds up to 12Mbps. Gogo also lets you send SMS messages from your smartphone, which I thought was a nice touch.
In the works is a 4G network claiming speeds up to 300Mbps. We're in the future, y'all.
