Firefox Continues To Devour Explorer's Browser Marketshare

According to Janco and the IT Productivity Centre, Internet Explorer has suffered heavy casualties in the browser market share war, with its market share dropping to a record low 58% at the beginning of August, 2008.
The current top five browsers are:
- Internet Explorer: 58%
- Firefox: 19%
- Netscape: 12% (a dead browser, seriously?!)
- Google Desktop: 4%
- Mozilla: 3%
That's a 7% loss for Internet Explorer since August 2007, and a near 25% loss in market share since August of 2005!
As a web developer, I dream of the day when I no longer have to program websites to deal with all of Internet Explorer's little idiosyncrasies. That day can't come soon enough.
