Get The Most Out Of The PS3's Blu-ray Settings

It's hard being a geek and a ditz. I'm always remembering that I once knew something helpful, but can only recall enough to be confusing. I'm the worst with settings, and the PS3's settings are so specific I often find myself scratching my head and wondering, "Do I want RGB or Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr?"
The answer, RGB is best for video games and Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr works best for video, and most of the time the PS3's "auto" setting works just fine to tell the difference. But if you notice that something doesn't quite look right, this little bit of information can come in very handy.
Provided you can remember it.
Which is why I'm glad that Crave put up an Ask the Editors feature on PS3 Blu-ray settings - after dropping all of that cash for a fancy home theater, you want it to look and sound its best.
And then there's that whole "Super-White" option. It sounds cool, and I'd sure like for my whites to be Super, I guess, but it turns out that this option is mostly only useful during monitor calibration, as most DVDs and Blu-ray discs don't bother with material above white or below black. Who knew?
There's also a good link to a post on the always-excellent AVS forums that sheds some light on the ever-confusing world of audio settings, as well.
