Video: Holy Darwinized Kite Surfer, Batman!

Some gadgets aren't meant to be used during tropical storms.

It's a lesson you'd think this poor 26 year-old kite surfer might have considered before strapping himself into a high-tech personal parasail and leaping into the Fort Lauderdale winds.

The result is pretty brutal, and the young man is now in critical condition at a local hospital - probably unaware that his stupid stunt is internet fodder thanks to a local TV crew who happened to be filming the insanely intense weather in which nobody in their right mind should attempt to freaking fly.

I'm guessing that all thoughts of the Magnus and Bernoulli Effects have been shut down along with the rest of Kevin Kearney's higher brain functions. Ouch.
