Microsoft Ad Company: Seinfeld Still In For More Commercials

A few hours go by and the story has now changed (I'm thinking this is one of those left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing situations, as often happens at Microsoft.) Our earlier report that Jerry Seinfeld was being dropped from Microsoft's $300 million ad campaign is wrong, according to a spokesperson from Crispin Porter & Bogusky, the company behind the ads.
According to CPB, Microsoft asked them to focus more on the "I'm a PC" ads we mentioned in our earlier post, but did not ask CPB to drop Seinfeld altogether. CPB went on to mention that they've taped another segment featuring Seinfeld and Bill Gates that is set to air very soon.
Sure, this might be a case of CPB not quite getting the full memo from the bowels of Microsoft, but for now, while the focus will shift to the more relevant ads fighting Apple's "Get a Mac" campaign, you Seinfeld/Gates fanboys and girls can put down your pitchforks. (If any of you even exist outside of some freaky slash fiction board *shudders at the thought of Gates/Seinfeld slash*)
