Wii Storage Solution 'Even Better Than A Hard Drive'

The Wii's skimpy internal memory and the native absence of any kind of helpful external solution have raised the eyebrows of quite a few gamers, especially as Nintendo plows forward with WiiWare titles and other games that will require more than a few blocks of storage.
Now, Nintendo's told us that they're working on it - it's not so much a problem as it is a bottleneck - and they've told us that a solution is coming. Now, Miyamoto himself has said that there won't be many more peripherals for the Wii, since they've got more pieces of white plastic than even Nintendo knows what to do with. Add that tidbit to Reggie's statement that Nintendo is not working on a hard drive, and you have a setup for some kind of "Wii Cloud" for data storage.
Whatever the solution, Reggie says Nintendo's solution will be "better" than a hard drive. That I will happily believe when it happens.
Reggie says no hard drive...but a better solution, while Miyamoto says enough with the peripherals [GoNintendo]
