Netflix Starting To Charge Extra For Blu-ray

The day of reckoning has come. We've heard rumours, we've had official statements, but now it is finally real: Netflix is instituting a $1/month extra charge for renting Blu-ray discs starting on November 5 this year.
In an e-mail that arrived to my inbox today, Netflix explains all the dirty little details:
As you may know, Blu-ray movies are more expensive than standard definition movies. As a result, we're going to start charging $1 a month (plus applicable taxes), in addition to your monthly membership charge, for unlimited access to Blu-ray movies. The additional charge for unlimited Blu-ray access will be automatically added to your next billing statement on or after November 5th, 2008 and will be referenced in your Membership Terms and Details. If you wish to continue getting Blu-ray movies for $1 a month more, you don't need to do anything. If not, you can remove Blu-ray access anytime by visiting Your Account at the Netflix website.
If you have questions about this change or need any assistance, please call us anytime at 1-888-638-3549.

While I would have preferred for there not to be an additional cost for all the Blu-ray goodness I've been receiving from Netflix, $1/month is an admittedly fair deal. It's not going to break my piggy bank or make me feel cheated, and if it lets Netflix stock more Blu-ray discs, then I'm fine with the fee.
Any other Blu-ray Netflix fans out there agree or disagree?

I am actually surprised it took so long and that it is only $1.
I got the e-mail too, and was pleasantly surprised that it was only a dollar. Even though only about 30% or so of my Netflix queue is Blu, I'm OK with it. Especially, as Den Den says, if they up their Blu inventory.
Besides, the disk queue along with the streaming video (to our Roku box since we're a mac house), Netflix is still the best entertainment source for the buck!
i have two netflix accounts, and when i got the e-mail i cancelled the blue ray option on both of them, i don't think it's right for them to raise the price
$1/month is totally fair. I just hope it means they're going to have more copies of new releases on blu-ray since the popular ones get snatched up really quickly.
