NVIDIA Debuts GeForce 9300 & 9400

Although NVIDIA's GeForce GPU chips are headed for the pasture, NVIDIA still has a few GeForcey tricks up their sleeves. And while last week saw Apple introduce GeForce 9400M mobile chips into their new MacBooks, this week the big N introduces two new desktop mainboards, the GeForce 9300 and the GeForce 9400.
The new 9000's support all Celeron, Pentium and Core 2 processors and incorporate the 9400M's 16-core design, blasting away Intel's GMA 4500. The new mainboards support one X16 PCI Express slot, four X1 slots, or five normal PCI slots, as well as DDR2 and DDR3 memory. They also support hybrid SLI, meaning you can take advantage of both the onboard graphics and a dedicated GeForce card at the same time (or alternate between them as your applications demand).
ASUS, EVGA and XFX are already shipping products built with the new mainboards, but complete systems with the new 9300 or 9400 boards have yet to appear.
