SlingCatcher Gets Made

Vaporware? Not any more: in addition to being my nickname during my early 20s, SlingCatcher is now actualware. Sling's three-way digital playback device pulls content from three sources: any attached USB HDD, the display on your PC (via the rather grisly-sounding "screen scraping" technology), and of course any media streamable from a local or remote Slingbox.
What's mo', Sling.com (now in closed beta) appears ready to take on a Hulu-like capacity, with a "premium library of movies, TV shows, and Web videos" and will of course sling them vids straight to the SlingCatcher. This sets the stage to remove the PC middleman and funnel content directly to your Slingthing.
I can't see anyone just dying to get their hands on this admittedly niche beauty, but I'd love to fiddle about with a SlingCatcher.
SlingCatcher finally sees light of day--and may get a boost from Sling.com [Crave]
