So Save We All: Galactica PC Mod For The Committed
This case mod isn't so much awesome as it is impressively detailed. And by impressively detailed, I mean insane. Not only is there a full-on Viper landing bay sitting right atop the case (complete with blue guide-lights for tiny Starbucks and stim-addled Kats), but behind that laser-cut BSG medallion lies a see-through side-loading DVD drive:
The Medallion was laser cut in separate layers and pieces, then glued together. Red LEDs were added behind the bird inset to illuminate the dvd drive and provide a nice backlit effect.
Not to mention the array of DRADIS displays clustered below what looks like two USB ports, headphone and mic jacks, and something that could be a firewire or eSATA port.
The rear of the case sports four thrusters and what I'm going to pretend is the, um, red glow of the ship's furnaces. There's even a matching monitor.
I'd need a whole BSG showroom for this baby, and I don't have that kind of commitment - but big ups to whomever put this together. SciFi forever!

That is frakkin' awesome! And completely OCD. It's *brilliant*. Yet somehow I don't think Apple would honor my warranty if I did this to my Mac Pro.
HO-LY FRAK!!! As a huge BSG fan with a BSG tatt (real BSG fans, WalterQKovacs@gmail.com and I'll show you) I feel a deep seeded need for this item.
