Homotron Officially Endorses Barack Obama For President In 2008!

It's not often that an election comes by that has the chance to turn the tide of history; an election that is so pivotal to the future of not only the United States of America, but the world as a whole.
We've seen the effects that a crisis in America can cause with the economic meltdown we've witnessed around the world in the past few weeks.
We've seen the effects that an administration that is ambivalent towards the advancement and maintenance of our basic technology frameworks, including broadband Internet access and network neutrality, has wrought for America. We've lagged behind most of the developed world in almost every single technological aspect for far too long. It's time for that to change, and that time is now.
All of us here at Homotron agree that Barack Obama is the best choice to lead America and the world into a future that will be brighter, more secure, and most of all, more technologically advanced than any other candidate.
Barack Obama strongly supports Network Neutrality, an issue that we at Homotron feel is vital to the survival and well being of the Internet. Obama understands that broadband internet access is not a privilege in this century - it is a right that should be extended to everyone in America in the same way that we've extended water, power, and telephone lines to all citizens.
Barack Obama has made it a priority to improve math and science education in the United States so that we can have the talent to continue to make the technological advancements that save lives, save the environment, and improve the quality of life for everyone in the world.
Obama's commitment to the advancement of technology is so strong that he will even appoint America's first Chief Technology Officer to ensure that our government uses the latest technology to improve communication with citizens, secure our national infrastructure, and protect every American's right to reasonable Internet access.
Here at Homotron; however, we are not just focused on issues of technology, but also on issues affecting the gay community. While it is lamentable that neither candidate for President in this election supports equal rights for all of us in respect to marriage nationwide, Barack Obama has officially denounced the efforts under way in California to overturn the marriage rights already in place for all gay and lesbian couples that live in California by supporting a NO vote on California's Proposition 8.
Obama also supports the expansion of federal hate crime protection by passing the Matthew Shepard Act, so that all of us can walk the streets hand in hand with those we love in safety.
For these reasons, and many more, the choice for us here at Homotron is clear: Barack Obama is our official pick for the next President of the United States of America.
If you have not yet voted, please go and make your voice heard on Election Day: tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4th.

Thank you, Homotron. Not that the inclinations weren't clear, but the full-throated endorsement is a welcome (and refreshing) honesty.
So, to everyone: get out the vote! I'll be going to my polls in about 7 hours...
