Lock Down Your Stolen Laptop With Text Message

The new Lenovo ThinkPads offer a cool little feature: should the unthinkable happen and a bad guy makes off with your ThinkPad, you can lock down your stolen device with a simple text message.
If your laptop gets swiped, you send a text message confirming the theft. The ThinkPad will receive the message via mobile broadband and brick itself. It's not exactly LoJack, but it would keep your data more secure, and insecure data in the hands of thieves is a more lingering threat than the immediate loss of hardware.
Then again, better just to keep an eye on your laptop.
